The Pennsylvania Automotive Association Foundation (PAAF) was founded in 2002.
The overall purpose of the PAAF is to support activities that further the
charitable and educational mission of PAA. Through the PAAF, PAA will promote
and enhance the role of the automotive industry and strive to improve the image
of new car and truck dealers in Pennsylvania. Among other things, the PAAF
will offer funding to provide education and training of individuals to develop
the skills necessary to work in the new retail motor vehicle industry in
Pennsylvania.
The PAAF has assumed control of the PAA AYES (Automotive Youth Educational
Systems) and Apprenticeship programs, and will focus on recruiting new people
to the industry; training people in the industry; as well as providing
up-to-date equipment and tools for vocational-technical schools and students.
In addition to supporting the AYES and Apprenticeship programs, the PAAF will
also fund the following:
-
PAAF Scholarships
for students;
-
Equipment and tools for schools that are NATEF-certified or in the process of
becoming NATEF-certified; and
-
Disaster relief for dealership employees and their immediate families.
The PAAF publishes a quarterly newletter that highlights the achievements of the
dealership community. We request that stories about the good works of dealers
be forwarded to the PAAF so they may be included in the publication. If
you have a story you would like to share, please e-mail Chad Marsar at
CMarsar@paa.org. Check out the latest issue of the
PAAF newsletter.
