Selling Without a Title - Lien verification allows a
lien-payoff vehicle to be sold without a title present. PAA supplies a printout
with the name of the owner, VIN or title number, lienholder, mileage and any
title brand of a lien-payoff vehicle when the title has not yet been obtained
from a finance company.
Mitigating Department - Assists dealers who have made a payoff
and are selling a trade-in vehicle with a lien payoff or a lease buyout without
title present. PAA will make sure paperwork is documented in PennDOT’s system
by the 20th day, even if a dealer is still waiting for the title.
