Through the PAAF Scholarship Fund, the PAAF supports post-secondary education
and training for individuals to develop the skills necessary to work in the new
retail motor vehicle industry in >
Pennsylvania
. The PAAF has established a scholarship fund specifically for
young people who have an interest in the new retail automotive industry in
Pennsylvania
as a career:
The PAAF scholarships are available to high school seniors graduating
from AYES automotive technology programs in
Pennsylvania
in 2008. Former AYES students who graduated from an AYES program after May 31,
2007, current PAA Registered Current PAA Registered Apprentices and individuals
currently enrolled in dealer sponsored manufacturer specific training programs
such as ASEP or T-TEN are also eligible to apply.
More details are provided on the scholarship forms. The recipient must be a
full-time student at a post-secondary school (at least 12 credits or
equivalent).
Scholarships will be awarded based on the following criteria:

Applicant must be a
Pennsylvania
resident

Applicant must be employed at or sponsored by a franchised new car or heavy
duty truck dealership

Academic achievement in high school of a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a
4.0 scale

Involvement in extra curricular activities including sports, school clubs or
groups, church groups, community
and charitable organizations and volunteerism
